GOD'S PROMISES - PLANS

Have you ever had a day off and you made plans of everything that you wanted to do for that day?

You had an exact order of how you would accomplish all the things you planned to do.

Pray and ask God to be the author of all your plans. While it is true we know what we want to do and the order that we want to do things, we always want to make sure we are in agreement with the perfect plans God has for our day.

GOD'S PROMISES - FREE

With all the bad things happening in the world today it is easy to become fearful of living life and doing everyday things.

"You want to go shopping at the mall. You send your kids to school to get a good education. Your older children are going to parties and nightclubs. You and your family are going to concerts and festivals."

These are all things that we do in our everyday life but every time you turn around you hear instances of mass destruction happening to people while engaging in these normal activities.

One thing we cannot do is give into fear. Fear will have you tied up in knots and not ever wanting to leave your house. It will also make you not want your kids to grow older and participate in normal life activities.

Pray and ask God to free you from the fear of living. Ask Him for direction and guidance in all areas of your life. Pray that He will lead and guide you and your family so that you are always in the right place at the right time.

GOD'S PROMISES - NO MATTER HOW SMALL

God can guide you in the right direction when making decisions in your life no matter how big or how small.

I went shopping the other day and saw a pair of tennis shoes that I wanted to buy. When I found my size and opened the box I realized that they were not the charcoal gray color that I was looking for but they were light gray. They were on sale so I tried them on anyway deciding whether or not to buy them.

I really wanted the charcoal gray color so I decided to take one last look to see if they were there and just maybe I had overlooked them. To my surprise they had the charcoal gray in my size.

Once I tried them on I wasn't sure which color to buy.  At first glance I liked the charcoal gray but once they were on my feet the light gray were different and more appealing.

I wasn't sure which to buy and after some thinking decided to go with the light gray. Once I got home and looked in my closet I realized that I had a light gray shirt that matched the shoes I just bought!

I was so surprised and thankful at how God directed me to buy the right color shoes without me even realizing that He was helping me make the right choice!

Isn't God great!  If He can do something so small, imagine how He will handle the big decisions in your life!

We often ask, why did this happen to me? Why couldn't I have been spared this tragedy?

There was a situation where a family's house caught on fire. They lost a lot of material possessions, but thank God no one was injured. I am sure they went through all of the normal emotions, but they still thanked God and was grateful that He spared their lives and no one was injured.

GOD'S PROMISES - REACTIONS

Things happen as you go about your day that cause you to have many different reactions.

Someone cuts you off in traffic, you blow the horn and even though it may not be right, you may make an obscene gesture.

You are out shopping, someone has a disagreement with the cashier and won't let it go and it is holding up the line and you make a comment to that person to hurry up and let it go so others can pay and move on with their day.

These are just a few examples of everyday situations and though your reaction is harmless, the other person's reaction can be harmful or even at times deadly.

The person you blew your horn at, tries to hit your car and run you off the road. In an extreme case, the person pulls out a gun and shoots at you and the car.

The person in the store holding up the line turns around and hits you because of your comment. In an extreme case, the person follows you out the store and shoots you dead.

You have to remember that there are some crazy people in this world and even though your reaction to the circumstance was normal and harmless; you have no way of knowing whether or not the other persons reaction will cause you unnecessary harm or even death.

Ask God to help control your reactions to the things that are happening around you in your everyday life so that you can remain safe at all time.
