GOD'S PROMISES - GOD HAS MY BACK

It amazes me when I realize how often God has my back and is working out situations in advance, even when I don't realize I need help.

Recently my daughter had an expense that I was planning on using a particular credit card to pay.  Other arrangements were made to pay that expense and later on down the line I needed this same card to help her out in a different more dire situation.

I see that as God working a miracle in advance in the first situation, so that the card was available for use when it was needed more in the second situation.

This lets me know that God had my back even when I didn't know I would need it! Just like He had my back, He will have your back too!

GOD'S PROMISES - DON'T BEAT YOURSELF UP

Don't beat yourself up over mistakes that you make and cannot change.

Recently I went out one afternoon for ice cream with my daughter. With everything that is happening in the world today with the pandemic, it had been a long time since we visited this particular establishment. It was a nice outing. The weather was nice and we sat outside to eat and the ice cream was good. It was not until I returned home that I realized that I had been overcharged for my purchase. It wasn't much, but it was that fact that I didn't catch it and correct it while the purchase was being charged.

I was so upset that I did not catch the error that it was not allowing me to enjoy the memory of the nice time that we shared together. It wasn't easy to let it go but I finally was able to pray and ask God to please take this burden from me. I asked him to help me to forgive myself for not realizing while it was happening and also to help me forgive the cashier for the error, whether it was intentional or unintentional, so that I could move on and stop beating myself up and ruining the experience that I enjoyed.

God does not want us to live with regret or to beat ourselves up for mistakes that we cannot change. He will help you to forgive yourself and others for past and present mistakes no matter how big or how small.
