IN HONOR OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH

“Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of Persons.”  (Acts 10:34b)

God Is No Respecter of Persons

In other words, God is not prejudice.
One of the definitions of the word prejudice is:  An opinion held in disregard of facts.

In the time when prejudice against black people was prominent, it was the consensus among many different people groups that blacks were no better than animals.

Blacks could not read or write, but that did not place them on the level of animals.  That was an opinion of prejudice that was absolutely unfactual.  Yet, it was an opinion that helped to keep black people enslaved.

There were many black people; however, who did not buy into that prejudiced opinion.  They recognized, inherent within themselves, God-given abilities.  The ability to read and write, if taught, and the ability to be creative, just like their captors.

God Is No Respecter of Persons

He is not prejudice.  What He has helped one person do, He will help another person do.  What he has forgiven others of, He will forgive you of.

If you will believe that God is no respecter of persons or in other words He is not prejudice; for what you believe really matters, then you will excel; no matter what the obstacles are that face you.

God's Love For The World:
God loved the world so much that he made it possible for humanity to escape the penalty for sin.  Jesus voluntarily became the scapegoat for us.

All the sins of the world were placed upon him.  Then when he was nailed to the cross, the penalty of sin was met; through the shedding of his blood, which was pure and sinless, for the remission of sin.  His blood was pure and sinless because he was planted by the power of God into the womb of a virgin and not made of an earthly man and woman coming together.

Then God raised Jesus from the dead, as they planned, and Jesus became King of kings and Lord of lords, who is also the Messiah.

God’s plan is that humanity will believe what he has done, and accept this sacrifice for their sins, His only6 begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Won’t you believe God’s provision and accept Jesus now into your heart?

Prayer:  Jesus, I believe you died on the cross and rose from the dead for me.  I want to be a part of your family, I want to be born again.  Make yourself real to me.  Amen.
