GOD'S PROMISES - TOUGH TIMES

Look to God through all your times of troubles and heartaches.  When you are weary and life's troubles have got you down, put your trust in God.  He will guide you through the tough times and bring you brighter days.

"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in time of trouble."  Psalm 9:9

"For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock."  Psalm 27:5

"The righteous may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers them from them all..."  Psalm 34:19

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."  Psalm 46:1

"But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble."  Psalm 59:16

"Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life.  You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes; with your right hand you save me."  Psalm 138:7

"Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains!  For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones."  Isaiah 49:13

"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.  Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope."  Romans 5:1-4

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."  2 Corinthians 1:3,4
