GOD'S PROMISES - VICTORY

God promises to give us the victory to overcome all obstacles that we will encounter throughout our lives.

"May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God.  May the Lord grant all your requests."  Psalm 20:5

"Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp.  For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory."  Psalm 149:3, 4

"For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers."  Proverbs 11:14

"But thanks be to God!  He gives us the victory through the Lord Jesus Christ.  Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm.  Let nothing move you.  Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."  1 Corinthians 15:57, 58

"In fact, this is love for God:  to keep his commands.  And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world.  This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.  Who is it that overcomes the world?  Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God."  1 John 5:3-5
